Abstract:
This article is focused on state support of venture capital in the Czech Republic. The first part of this paper is dedicated to introducing the basic characteristics of venture capital. The second part analyzes the macroeconomic impact of venture capital financing. The third part then examines the extent of government support of venture capital. This is followed by a research on the implementation of JEREMIE initiative as a possible form of state support of venture capital in the Czech Republic. This research serves as a starting point for the assessment of the current situation of state support for venture capital in the Czech Republic. From the analysis of results and discussions, we have proposed some forms of state support of venture capital in the Czech Republic and made recommendations for its further development. The result of this paper is a part fulfillment of the research project of FBE MUAF in Brno, No. MSM 6215648904
